LuminAID lights are designed for durability and are built to perform in a wide range of environments, including emergency situations, outdoor adventures, and everyday use.
With proper care, your LuminAID can be recharged and used regularly for multiple years.
The built-in lithium-ion battery is designed to provide 500+ recharge cycles. The battery can be recharged many more times beyond 500 cycles, but, similar to the battery in a smartphone, you may notice a gradual decrease in battery life over time. This means the light may not stay illuminated for as long on a single charge after several years of regular use.
To help extend the life of your LuminAID:
- Store your light in a cool, dry place when not in use.
- Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures for extended periods.
- Keep the battery charged if storing your light for a long time.
- Follow the recommended charging and storage instructions for your model.
With proper care, your LuminAID can remain a reliable source of light for 5+ years to come.
Wear and tear is damage that naturally occurs as a result of normal use and storage. Materials may fade or yellow over time, and battery performance will degrade as the battery is charged and discharged. We design our products to exceed most stated specifications, and most customers still enjoy their LuminAID products well past the product’s expected lifespan, but performance and durability will not match that of a brand-new product.
